April 27 is Ticonderoga Job Fair Day

2022 Spring Student Job Fair at THS

April 4, 2023 Ticonderoga, NY – The Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance (Ti-Alliance) and Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) are teaming up to present a Ticonderoga Job Fair Day on Thursday, April 27. The day will involve two job fairs to promote Ticonderoga Area employment opportunities. In the morning, Ti-Alliance and the Ticonderoga Junior-Senior High School (THS) will host a student job fair in the school gym. In the evening, TACC and North Country Community College (NCCC) will host a community job fair at NCCC’s Ticonderoga Campus.

Ticonderoga Job Fair Day is part of a community-wide effort to help workers and local employers connect. As the summer approaches, there are many seasonal, full-time, and part-time opportunities available right here in Ticonderoga.

STUDENT JOB FAIR The school job fair will be held in the Ticonderoga Junior-Senior High School gymnasium on Thursday, April 27, from 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM. The fair will connect students with local employers for summer and year-round (post-graduation) employment.

Students have the opportunity to prepare for the job fair by reviewing Ti-Alliance’s 2023 Job Opportunity Guide, which lists over 40 job opportunities in the Ticonderoga Area suitable for students. The guide also offers tips for success and enables students to schedule interviews for specific job listings in advance of the fair. On the day of the event, students will be able to put their best foot forward as they interview with employers.

An exciting addition to this year’s student fair is financial resources for youth. Many students have never earned a steady paycheck and are new to personal finance. Representatives from Trail North Federal Credit Union’s Ticonderoga branch will be in attendance to coach students on money management and provide additional financial resources to help them succeed.

“We’re excited to partner with the Chamber and all these employers to showcase so many opportunities right here in Ticonderoga,” said Ti-Alliance Executive Director, Donna Wotton.

Employers wishing to participate in the student job fair can email Ti-Alliance Program Coordinator, Melinda Fuller, at fuller.melinda@gmail.com for more information and to sign-up.
